I grew up in Buffalo, NY, and as I like to say, "I'm Northern by birth, Southern by the grace of God". I've been in radio for over 25 years, and began my commercial radio career at Christian KJOE in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1979. Since then my wife of 25 years, Karen, and I have lived in Columbia, South Carolina, and moved our two daughters, Rebecca and Sarah, to Tulsa in 1993 with K95.5FM. Last year, I was heard on 94.1 KTSO, and I am so blessed to have this opportunity to be with you during the weekday at the New Spirit 102.3. I am an ordained elder at my church, provide information about the programs of the church to newcomers and sing with the choir on Sunday mornings, and occasionally read scripture at services when needed. I also serve building wheelchair ramps with a local mission at the church. I am involved in the leadership of Toastmasters in Oklahoma, and also serve on the board of The Job Partnership (JP) of Tulsa. In my spare time, I enjoy home remodeling (from laying ceramic tile to wallpapering, installing crown molding and wood floors), landscaping and gardening, woodworking, baking (breads, cakes, cookies, pies, etc.), and playing with our 3-year-old Lhasa Apso/Shitzu mix puppy Bitsy.
Little known facts about me are that I have won ribbons for quilted pillows and a cross-stitched Christmas stocking at the Louisiana State Fair, and I am especially proud to have guest-hosted the nationally-syndicated American Country Countdown for Bob Kingsley. I feel that we all have the opportunity to touch lives and make a difference in this world everyday. We need to pray that our eyes are open to see those opportunities, and that our hearts are ready to seize that opportunity when presented to us. I thank you for letting me into your life during the weekday on the New Spirit 102.3

How You Got Involved with Spirit: I've known Chris Kelly for years, back when I was the program director for K95.5FM. In December 2005, I was cutting a commercial for the Kirk of the Hills Christmas concert, and ran into Chris. Shortly after that, he had been visiting with Jan Dean, and she suggested he call me to see if I had an interest in working on the station. We went to lunch, and I've been on Spirit 102.3 from 10a-3p ever since! I love the opportunity to play music that glorifies our Lord and brings people closer to Christ. And I really enjoy meeting all the people who listen to the station when I'm out and about. It has been a real blessing in my life.
