Hello,
My sweet little boy is now almost 2 1/2 months old. He's growing so much. Now he's cooing and laughing even more. Since Father's Day is coming up, I asked my husband what is the best part of being a dad. He said - "knowing that our son is here on loan from God, and that we get to watch him grow up, and most of all knowing that he is here for a reason and to see what those reasons are will be wonderful." He also commented on seeing his son smile at him and interact was one of the greatest gifts.
Tommy was able to spend some time on his Great Grandad's lap this weekend, and will again here on Father's Day.
My folks were in from California last week & seeing my folks hold him for hours on end was a blessing (because I was able to get some much needed rest) but also just a joy. The smile is still on my face. I never realized how neat it would be to see your own parents holding your child. There are just no words to describe it.
From here, I know he's growing up so quick I feel like I don't want to blink. If you have any suggestions or ideas on what you did while your children were young that you are glad you did - let me know. I love creative and fun ideas. Also, if you want to share your motherhood/fatherhood stories with me - I'd love to hear them. I'm sure I'll need the advice and encouragement as the days go on. He's a blessing, but he's also a handful :)
Take care and God Bless,
Rebecca Bennett
