I know it has been a while since we last talked. I hope all is well in your life. I was gone in September to see my folks in Maine at their lake house, and thought it would be fun to share some of the vacation pictures with you. Tommy had the opportunity to be spoiled by his grandparents (my parents) and his aunt and uncle and his cousin. We had a lot of fun. Tommy had an opportunity to go in the water for the first time and he loved it. He was kicking around and at one point we had to take him out because he thought it would be fun to drink the lake water – yikes!. Tommy also took his first boat ride, he wasn't as thrilled about that because he had to wear (what seemed to be huge) life jacket.

He is now 6 months old and so much fun. He is such a Blessing from God. He is just starting to crawl.. He's mastered the rolling over trick, and sitting up is a breeze now. His bottom teeth should break through any day now. He's sure drooling enough to warrant teeth!

I talked a little on the radio about "you know you're a mom when..." Well I talked briefly about not thinking twice about wiping the sweet potatoes off of my shoulder, but then realizing folks may not appreciate the smell, even though it didn't bother me at all. Here is the other "you know you're a mom when moment..." Ok – my husband and I were watching television on the couch and we looked at Tommy and ohhhhhhhhhh yes the big boogie was hanging out of his nose. Without a thought I reached over and cleaned him up, and get this walked to the kitchen with the "boogie" on my hand. I washed my hands and came back into the living room, and my husband just looked at me and said, "you're definitely a mom!" I laughed and said "hey if it means he can breath a little easier, I'm for it!"
